Grand Canyon and Utah Rafting Trips We Offer
Choose the trip that is right for you!

The main requirement for participating in one of our trips is being in good general health. For the multi-day trips, you should be comfortable with outdoor camping and living. Our trips take place in rugged and remote wilderness areas, and your overall trip safety and well-being is dependant upon your own good judgment and common sense.

The 5 day Green River trip in Desolation Canyon is a great Utah river rafting trip for families or first-time rafters. Children as young as six have successfully participated in this five day raft trip. The rapids are small to medium sized. White sandy beaches for camping are plentiful, and side canyon hikes are leisurely and fun. Inflatable Kayaks (funyaks) are available at no additional charge for the " Deso" trip.

Riding through alpine forest and meadows at Tavaputs Ranch
Add a two-day visit to Tavaputs Ranch before the Desolation Canyon Green River trip, for a bit of old-west fun and adventure. Horseback rides, scenic 4-wheel drives, cozy cabins and fabulous cowboy cooking await you at this beautiful alpine location 5000 ft. about the Green River. Your hosts, Butch and Jeannie Jensen, carry on a four generation cattle ranching legacy and will welcome you to their beautiful ranch. Sit back and take in the million-mile view.
Rafting on the Colorado River in Cataract Canyon
Cataract Canyon on the Colorado River in Canyonlands National Park can offer very intense whitewater, especially during the early part of the season in late May and early June. The river level (and whitewater intensity) generally drops about mid June. Early season raft trips may not be appropriate for kids younger than 16. Later in the year, children as young as 12 may participate. Inflatable kayaks are available during the six-day "Cat" trip. Hiking opportunities are numerous on the six-day rowing trips, with somewhat fewer but still great hikes on the three-day motorized run.
Rafting on the Colorado River in Grand Canyon Grand Canyon rafting trips are more appropriate for adults and mid to older teens, especially the oar powered runs. The fourteen-day oar powered trip is the ultimate river experience for those who are prepared physically and are ready to camp, raft and hike for two weeks. Those considering the 6-day "upper" or the 9-day "lower" oar powered Grand Canyon trip must be sufficiently fit for the required and strenuous ten-mile hike into or out of the Canyon between the South Rim and Phantom Ranch
Motorized raft on the Colorado River in Grand Canyon Participants on our Grand Canyon oar powered trips have ranged in age from 12 to 80+. If you wonder about the "little" (18’ - 4 passenger) oar powered rafts - or if you want to see the entire Canyon but 14 days is too long for you, consider joining one of our eight-day motorized runs. The 35’ pontoon rigs have plenty of room to sit comfortably and move around. The eight day motorized trip offers many hiking opportunities.
Riding through alpine meadows on Tavaputs Ranch
The Combination Trail Ride/Whitewater Rafting Trips that we run in conjunction with our friends and colleagues at Hondoo Rivers and Trails provide the two very best "transportation" options (horses and rafts) for experiencing our remarkable western landscapes, in Cataract Canyon on the Colorado River, Capital Reef, Escalante, San Rafael Swell and Boulder Mountain.
Rafting on the Colorado River in Westwater Canyon
Gray Canyon One-Day rafting trips, an easy introduction to river running, can be found on the Green River, a scenic stretch with 4-6 small splashy rapids that provide fun for the entire family, including younger children. This is an ideal trip for youth, church and scout groups, with discounts available.

Westwater Canyon on the Colorado River provides a more exciting one-day introduction to rafting with absolutely stunning scenery, and very intense whitewater. Suggested minimum age is 12.
Canoeing on the Green River in Labyrinth Canyon
A Canoe Trip down the Green River through Labyrinth canyon is a wonderful opportunity for a self guided trip. Rental canoes including paddles and life jackets are available to rent for this section of the Green River from the Green River State Park to Mineral Canyon. We can also pick you up at Mineral Bottom and return you and all your gear to Green River.

"The true beauty of that canyon is the long term value of doing 'maintenance on your mind'. It gets your head screwed on right and sets your values straight - If you find yourself getting into traffic with a 4,000 pound vehicle and want to compete for the right-of-way - you'd better go to the canyon and re-learn what's important and what is not."
